CODEX was launched from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA at 11:29 KST, November 5 (Tue.) (21:29 EST, November 4 (Mon.)) in 2024, aboard a Falcon 9 rocket of SpaceX. The Cargo Dragon containing CODEX successfully docked with the ISS at 23:52 KST (9:52 EST) November 5 after about 12 hours from the launch.

CODEX was moved to the external payload platform ELC3-3 (ELC, EXpedite the PRocessing of Experiments to Space Station(ExPRESS) Logistics Carrier) using the Canadarm, the robotic arm operated on board the ISS, over about 3 days from November 10, and successfully installed around 10 AM KST, November 12 (Tue.) (around 8 PM EST, November 11 (Mon.)). After the installation, power-on and communication were performed successfully.
