Mission

KASI coronagraph team built the eclipse observation system, DICE for the total solar eclipse of August 21, 2017. The team observed the solar coronal using the system at a site near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They obtained polarization data at four different wavelengths (393.9 and 402.5nm for temperature, and 399.0 and 424.9 nm for speed) during the limited total eclipse time of about 140 seconds. KASI team successfully demonstrated the measurement technology.
